🍒 Spring PYO Update: We have some tough news from recent weather impacts: the late freeze in April unfortunately destroyed all of our sweet cherry crop. As a result, we won’t be able to have Pick Your Own cherries this year.
🍓In addition, due to the continued cold conditions this spring, strawberries will also not be available for picking this season. However, we will still have both tart cherries and strawberries available at our Farmers Markets.
🫐 The good news is that blueberries are still on track for late June picking. We’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready.
🍑 We are still monitoring the peach crop and will keep you posted as we learn more.
🍎 And looking ahead to fall, the apples are in great shape. Thankfully, they are much hardier than stone fruits and most varieties are looking strong for the season ahead. Thank you for your continued support of Mead Orchards. We LOVE our customers.
